Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Examen handles information related to the use of the app and this website. Examen was designed as a prayer, examination of conscience, and confession-preparation experience with particular attention to privacy.

1. Data recorded in the app

Reflections, private notes, usage preferences, and continuity information created in Examen are, as a rule, stored locally on the device. The contents of your notes and reflections are not sent to a Lumina Digital server for the app’s normal operation.

2. Account and identification

Examen does not require a personal account for its core experience. The app may store preferences such as language, age group, theme, accessibility settings, and local history needed for its features directly on the device.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

When a purchase or subscription is offered, payment is processed by the App Store or Google Play. Examen may use purchase-validation and entitlement-management services such as RevenueCat. These services may process technical transaction, product, subscription, and device identifiers needed to validate a purchase. The contents of your private notes are not sent to these services.

4. Website and technical logs

This website does not require registration. The hosting infrastructure may keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser, date, and access time, for security, availability, and service diagnostics. This version of the website does not include advertising or first-party behavioral tracking tools.

5. Children and teenagers

Examen includes age-adapted content. The app does not ask children or teenagers to create a public profile or provide a name, email address, or contact information to use the core experience. Parents or guardians should supervise use by minors as they consider appropriate.

6. Data sharing

Examen does not sell personal data. Technical information may be processed by app-store providers, purchase-validation services, and hosting infrastructure, each under its own policies and only as needed to provide those services.

7. Deletion and control

Because personal Examen records are kept locally, users can delete notes and other records using the controls available in the app. Removing the app also removes locally stored app data, except information managed separately by the App Store, Google Play, or purchase providers.

8. Security

We use an architecture intended to reduce the circulation of personal content whenever possible. No system is completely immune to failure, so we recommend keeping the operating system up to date and protecting the device with available security features.

9. Changes to this policy

This Policy may be updated to reflect changes to Examen, services used, or legal requirements. The date of the latest update will appear at the top of this page.

10. Contact

For privacy questions, contact suporte@luminadigital.app.

Spiritual content provided by Examen does not replace pastoral, sacramental, medical, psychological, or other professional guidance when such guidance is needed.
