By using Examen, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Purpose of Examen
Examen provides Catholic content for prayer, examination of conscience, personal reflection, and preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It is a support tool and does not replace a priest, pastoral guidance, or responsible personal discernment.
2. Responsible use
You are responsible for choices made based on content presented in the app and for content you enter in personal notes. Examen does not provide medical or psychological diagnosis, legal advice, or any substitute for professional care.
3. Content and age groups
Some experiences may be adapted to different age groups. Parents or guardians should supervise use by children and teenagers when appropriate.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Paid features, when offered, may be made available through purchases or subscriptions in the official stores. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are managed by the App Store or Google Play under the rules of the store used.
5. Availability and changes
We may fix errors, change content, add or remove features, and update the app over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of features that depend on app stores, operating systems, or third-party services.
6. Intellectual property
The Examen name, visual identity, texts, content organization, graphic elements, and other original app materials are protected by applicable law. Personal use of the app does not transfer intellectual-property rights to the user.
7. Privacy
Information handling related to Examen is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Examen is provided as a spiritual-support tool. We are not responsible for personal decisions made solely on the basis of the app or for outages caused by third-party services or platforms.
9. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the app, its offering model, or legal requirements. The current version will be available on this page.
